SMOKING CESSATION

An estimated 25.6 million men and 22.6 million women in the United States are smokers.  Tobacco use is the leading preventable cause of death in the United States, resulting in more than 440,000 deaths each year and $75 billion in direct medical costs.  The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimate that adult male and female smokers lose an average of 13.2 and 14.5 years of life, respectively, because they smoke.  These people, who are at higher risk of heart attack and stroke, have a less than 5% chance of quitting smoking with no outside help.  In fact, over 75% of smokers either have tried to quit or want to quit but haven't succeeded.

A pack-a-day smoker who pays $4.00 per pack can save more than $1,400 per year by stopping.  In comparison, the fee for this program is a small investment - and, of course, adding additional years to your life is priceless.

If you smoke, chances are that
you have tried to quit "cold
turkey," or you may have used
the patch or gum with only
  temporary results.  If you were
  not successful, you may have
felt that all your hard work was
  wasted.  Such an experience
  only helps to solidify mental
  addiction to cigarettes by
  reinforcing the belief in your
mind that you are not capable
  of quitting.  It's this mental
  addiction that makes it most
difficult to quit smoking permanently.  In fact, the nicotine is actually gone from your system within 48 hours after you stop smoking.  By the end of your first week without cigarettes, physical withdrawal symptoms disappear.

Hypnosis will help you to manage any of the temporary symptoms of physical withdrawal, but more importantly, addresses the mental aspect of nicotine addiction.  With hypnosis you can change the part of your subconscious mind that wants to smoke and break the negative habit pattern that keeps you from being smoke-free and living to your greatest potential life expectancy.  You will also learn effective techniques for self-hypnosis and relaxation that will help you to handle stress.  Some people believe that if they stop smoking they will compensate by overeating.  Don't let this be an excuse to avoid kicking the habit.  Only people with an affinity for overeating will resort to food, and if that's an issue for you this can be addressed through hypnosis as well.

SUGGESTION
Those who are becoming non-smokers do well with the
3-session package, and some choose the Pay-As-You-Go option.
For more information see "Fees and Information".

Nicotine is a highly addictive substance, but hypnosis can really help you beat the smoking habit if you have a sincere desire to quit.  If you're at the point of saying: "I want to stop smoking, but I know I need some help," please contact me for a consultation, and let me help you to take control of your health.
